Post 9: 2014 Have you had a good year?

Hi everybody! today I am going to talk about this year: 2014.

Well, this is my second year in Santiago and in the university studying sociology, while in this year the total of experiences are not new so not so difficult, in this year I took a lot of more responsibilities compared to last year. In 2013 I was living with my grandma and this year I have lived alone, also now I`m working in a political group called la Laucha, we work the popular and critical education in Renca. In addition this year I have had more musical presentations compared to  last year ... The synthesis is that: regarding the fact I have more knowledge about the university life, this year has been very difficult.

The consequences is that in this time of the year; November, I am so tired and a little demotivated. I only have desire to go to my city, Concepcion. It is because that I have been thinking that next year I should take up less activities, maybe take less subjects in the university because I don`t want to leave my other activities.

I am a lucky guy, because, in spite of the difficulties until today I have very good marks in the career so I am thinking, maybe, being an assistant of some subject next year.

For the rest of the year I hope to finish  the subjects fast and have time to create new songs that I have in my mind. Well, and in the summer I have to do some repairs to my old house in Santiago.

Good Bye!

Post 8: Let's talk about money

Hello everybody! today I am going to talk about a terrible topic ... The money.

We know that the money moves the world, that is why an international division of  labour was generated, also a division of  roles inside the societies. But, independently if I agree or not, I am a normal person in this world, and in my everyday life the money has a decisive role.

I think that it is very important not to forget that the money is only a means, not a purpose. First, without the economic support of my dad I can´t study in the university and I wouldn´t have been able to move from Concepcion to Santiago. Second, the money allows me live during the month: I buy food, I pay the electricity, water, gas bills and the rent. Also I use the money in musical productions.

I don´t have money for a luxurious life, even now I have only fourth thousand pesos to afford myself until the rest of month, but I like my life, I don´t need more money ... Probably if I was a millionaire I would choose the same life, maybe I would choose the same house and the same neighborhood, only I would pay for some repairs to my house because it is old.

If one day I had some economic problems, I am not sure if I pawned one of my belongings because I don´t have any expensive thing, only an equipment of music but I love it ..

Post 7: How Green are You?

Hi everybody! Today I am going to talk about my opinion of the Sustainability of society.

Well, it is a complex topic, but we all agree that the ideal is an ecologic society. But, it seems that not many people do something in their lives. The mass-media and the public opinion congratulates the ecologic micro-initiatives. Is that enough?

I recommend to see this mini-documental: "The history of the stuff"

These guys claim that the micro-initiatives, of the family house especially, are completely insufficient because the principal source of pollution is in the production of the stuff, not in the destination of the package.
In other words, to produce your garbage bag that you throw ... other seventy garbage bags are thrown by the industries!

It is increasingly common that the industries buy fake green seals, and the governments are quiet and silent because they have interlaced interest with the entrepreneurs, in addition, paradoxically, the mass-media despite that congratulates the ecologic micro-initiatives they don`t show the bad practices of the industries.  The French-Brazilian sociologist, Michael Lowy affirms that the pollution is a characteristic in itself of the Capitalism, so that social model is incapable to do an ecological development. Within this logic, the NGOs, which are devoted to palliate the model instead of transform it are insufficient.

I do not want to say that the ecological initiatives are bad, on the contrary, they are an important mean of learning but not the end of the way.

In a radical context like that ¿What can we do?

Post 6: A piece of News

Hi everybody today I am going to talk about some news that are in trend in the Chilean TV.

Since the explosion of a pump in the subway station "Escuela militar" many TV news and public authorities have commented about a TERRORIST MENACE IN OUR COUNTRY!!! chan chan chan!!!
Some News has done a ridiculous link with the suspect terrorist and some characteristics, like to eat wholegrain bread.
For example, the News of "Canal 13" linked implicitly our campus "Juan Gomez Milla" with hooded groups. The problem isn´t if that link is true, the problem is the use of the information and his context...

Backward in time, in the dictatorship, there was an institution called ANI or in English: National Agency of Intelligence (NAI). This institution was the continuation of the DINA and the CNI, was designated to maintain the control of the society and take safe about the "subversive cancer", with autonomous attributes. In other words, an institution which could break your human rights if you don´t have the official ideology. That attributions have been taken out with the pseudo-democracy of 1990`.

With the social climate catalyzed for the News, the actually president of the "Nueva Mayoría", Michelle Bachelet, promoted some reforms to the project of  "Anti-terrorist law", in especial, return the autonomy to the NAI...

¿Who wins with the bomb and with the great show of the News?

Post 5: My Future Job

Well, actually I am a student of Sociology, the truth is that I didn´t know what is this career, and actually I don´t know very well what it is hehe. But, I am here because I am very inquisitive and I like the sociologic knowledge.

Sociology is a career extremely absorbed in the academy, so I am not sure about a job as a Sociologist, but rather I think I would work as a history teacher in a school, because I like  teaching very much.

To choose a Job I don´t think in the salary, I have always had an austere life, I am happy with simple things :)
But a principal requirement that I need, is that the Job isn´t meant to help a bussines owner to earn more money, on the contrary, my ideal Job is the Job were I can contribute to change the social model.

I think that in a Job I can contribute with social strength, because I can get on very well in a group work, also I can speak to a big audiencie very well. But one of my weaknesses is that I don´t like to be in a subject a long time, I need to escape of the routine with the music, so I am not a workaholic.

The Best Concert I've ever had

Hi everyone! today I am going to talk about my favorite concert

Well, I love the hip hop music, and the Chilean rap is cataloged by expert media like one of the best of the Spanish language.
But, like everything in this centralized country, the most famous groups or masters of ceremonies soloists live in Santiago.

In this year, a few months ago, a person called "Marmishen" (it is his nickname) who is a visual producer, master of ceremonies and a great producer of instrumentals, released a visual project called "Exit". Well, he is from Tome, the eighth region and the video consists in a song where he did the instrumental, sang and edited the video.

In that video-song he invited a lot of MC´s of the eighth region, mainly from Concepción and Talcahuano.

He did the release event in Concepcion, in a concert where all the MC´s of the video sang. It was an incredible event! I enjoyed it a lot because I like the rap of the south zone very much... I don´t know, because I feel that it represents me, maybe because I am from Concepcion hehehe

The best moment of the day was when "La Sikaria" sang, she is one of the best women MC of Chile and  she is still underground, nobody in Santiago knows about her.

I leave you a Sikaria´s song, Also I leave you the video "Exit" where the MC´s of the eighth zone sings.

Good Bye!

A country I would like to visit.

Hi everybody! today I am going to talk about a country that I would like to go: Brasil!

Well, it is true, I am still resented with the stick of Pinilla in the FIFA world cup, but it is not exclusive with my dream.

Brasil is the biggest country of Latin America and the only one where people speak Portuguese. Besides of being the country that has a greatest love and passion for football soccer, they have a very interesting Afro heritage that is latent in the poor class.  They have a culture full of music, traditions Afro-catholic, food, weather, flora and fauna. So I think that Brasil is a country with endless possibilities to have experiences and independent learning. The movie called "Ciudad de Dios" filmed in that country is one of my favourites.

(Capture of "Ciudad de Dios")

So, if I go to Brasil, I would live in a ghetto for a few months, to learn the language, and imbue in the Afro Latin American culture, and maybe improve my football skills haha, because I am very bad for that (and I love it :( )
